The Colorado Trip Part II
Ah, so finally I will post about the rest of the trip. Kari had an inservice to go to on Monday for work so I went to the store and got Starbucks coffee. :-) That afternoon we drove through the Garden of the Gods and then by accident drove past the Cave of the Winds. So we decided to stop there. On a small world note, we met a nurse there with her kids who is from the next county over from me in NC and she works at a hospital that sends patients to mine. The cave was neat- had a light bulb placed in it by Thomas Edison and they have left it there, of course. We all were really short of breath at one room in the cave and our guide told us that was because we were at the highest point in the cave- about 8000 feet above sea level.
We ate supper at Zios which is a really neat and relatively inexpensive Italian restaurant in the midwest. It reminded me of Macaroni Grill but with way better Trump Loi. :-)
I left on Tuesday and flew through O'Hara in Chicago. I am so glad I left Tuesday and not Wednesday as on Wednesday there was a big storm and there were big delays at O'Hara and probably in Colorado as well.
